2025 SIP AND STROLL THROUGH ART IN SUNRISE BEACH
Was a great event, beautiful weather, great booths and live music.
The Sip & Stroll Committee could not have picked a better day for its 5th annual Sunrise Beach Village Sip & Stroll art show. The weather was perfect, the arts and crafts creative and plentiful, and the event was attended by many friendly faces, eager to purchase a unique piece of art. The Sip & Stroll was held on November 8, 2025. Due to the continuing growth over the years, the show was moved to an outdoor venue, beautiful McNair Park, one of 5 waterfront parks in the Village.
The Sip & Stroll Committee is one of many committees of the Citizens for Community Action Association (CCAA), an organization comprised of all residents of Sunrise Beach Village. It is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)3. It was formed in the 1980’s by some of the town’s residents who recognized that coordinating as neighbors would strengthen the community. The mission of this organization is to address citizen concerns, to promote a sense of community, and to provide social and community service events. The CCAA serves as hub for connecting with neighbors, volunteering and influencing city initiatives, proposing improvements, funding those improvements and steering community enhancements. CCAA helps to maintain our Civic Center, provides community outreach services, holds holiday socials such as our upcoming Christmas party, schedules potluck dinners, conducts 2 game days a month, and raises funds to improve our parks, pickleballs courts and walking trails. Honestly, it’s a full schedule of volunteer opportunities, allowing residents to participate in projects of interest to them.
The 2025 Sip & Stoll dedicated Committee members are Sue Peace, Cindy Atkins, Charlotte Hays, Nancy Daniel, Veronica Cook, Jean Glass, Karen Delhey, Laurie Anderson, Kathie Maxfield, Chellie Stewart, Dena Arnold, Tracy Gurley, Tammy Guest and Stephanie Evans. Many of these committee members have participated over the last 5 years.
Participating vendors displayed and sold paintings, clothing, perfumes, jewelry, woodworking, pottery and many other items. In addition to these artists and vendors, this year’s event included a “Kid’s Corner.” Four tables of children learned and practiced their entrepreneurial skills – selecting a product, producing inventory, setting prices, displaying their products and interfacing with the customer. The Community was excited to support these kids in their business endeavors.
Visitors at Sip & Stroll were entertained by live music from the band Long Tooth. Other activities included a silent auction, a raffle, a wine pull, food booths including a drink stand with soft drinks, water, mimosas, beer and wine. Wine, beer and Whiskey glasses were sold. All who attended enjoyed the day. We hope to see you again next year.
